(PR) Bridgewater, NJ- The Five-Time Atlantic League Champion Somerset Patriots have announced the signing of left-handed pitcher Bill Pulsipher.

Pulsipher has six seasons of Major League experience with the New York Mets, Milwaukee Brewers, Boston Red Sox, Chicago White Sox, and St. Louis Cardinals organizations.

Pulsipher had a 3.78 ERA and 81 strikeouts in 17 starts for the Mets during his rookie season in 1995.

Pulsipher has prior Atlantic League experience with the Long Island Ducks, where he was 9-5 with a 3.67 ERA, 85 strikeouts, and four complete games in 2004. Pulsipher has a 17-10 record in 37 career Atlantic League games over parts of four seasons. He last pitched in the league for the Ducks in 2007.

Pulsipher began the 2010 season with Yuma of the Golden League as a player/coach. He has been activated for the upcoming series against the Newark Bears and is expected to start on Saturday night.

In other team news, the Patriots have place left-handed reliever Brian Henderson on the inactive list.
